Exciting Healthy Events for Professional Development Week

The Wellness Council invites the college community to participate in the following healthy events:

Heart Health Presentation and Create Your Own Heart Healthy Tribune Bowl

  • Monday, June 6 from 11:30 am – 12:45 pm at the Brighton Campus in Monroe A
  • Presentation by the American Heart Association
  • Tribune Bowl options include chicken, assorted vegetables and seeds along with focaccia bread followed by a vanilla yogurt bowl

Pilates Session

  • Monday, June 6 from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at the Brighton Campus in the Brighton Campus, Dance Studio
  • Join Club Pilates to improve your muscular strength, flexibility and posture

Behavioral Health Presentation and Create Your Own Hearth Southwestern Bowl

  • Title: Burnout & Building Resiliency

  • Presented by: Dr. Geoffrey Hopkins, Senior Medical Director of Behavioral Health for Excellus Health Plan

  • Wednesday, June 8 from noon – 1:00 pm at the Downtown Campus in High Falls room A or attend via Zoom.
  • Southwestern Bowl includes options chicken, mexican brown rice, assorted vegetables along with pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream followed by a Dove bar for your mental health
  • Please indicate when you RSVP if you will be attending in person or by Zoom.

Dove Bar Social

  • Wednesday, June 8 from 1:00 – 1:30 pm at the Downtown Campus in High Falls room A
  • If you are unable to join us for lunch stop by for a delicious Dove bar because ice cream promotes serotonin production known to increase happiness
  • No RSVP needed for this event, however, Dove Bars are limited.

Yoga Break Out Room

  • Wednesday, June 8 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at the Downtown Campus in High Falls B
  • Join Inward Yoga for an intro to Yoga.
  • There are two sessions 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm. Please indicate which session you are interested in when you  RSVP.

Reservations are required for all events because space is limited!

Please register at MCCWellness@monroecc.edu and include what event(s) you are attending.

If you have a Wellness Council Punch Card bring it for one punch per event for a chance to win a prize!
