From an Irish folk song to a Quaker hymn, MCC's student choir will perform an assortment of vocal music at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15 in the Brighton Campus Theater, Bldg. 4.
Male choir members will be featured in “Aura Lee,” a popular song from the late 1800s that was written in Rochester by W.W. Fosdick and later became a hit for Elvis when the words were changed to “Love Me Tender.” Other pieces include “How Can I Keep from Singing?” arranged by Gwyneth Walker, a Roger Emerson arrangement of the Josh Groban hit “You Raise Me Up,” a holiday piece by Leroy Anderson entitled “Sleigh Ride,” and a South African song entitled “Freedom is in Your Hand.”
This winter concert is free and open to the public. Parking is available in Lot F.
