Thanks to the members of our college community who submitted quotes that inspire them with a brief narrative about why. This week we hear from Travis Sleight, interim director, Facilities.

Travis considers this a reminder that one "can never rest on your laurels and to constantly push to better yourself."

This quote resonates for me in our current situation at MCC. Your work is innovative and on the leading edge of your respective disciplines and fields of expertise. Even with front-runner status, we will get bypassed, if not run over, by the other sectors of higher education seeking to serve our students. The expansion of online learning and workforce development and training opportunities are part of our response and underscore how MCC is not 'just sitting there,' following the immortal words of Will Rogers.
