PAC Center LEED Gold Announcement


As previously published in the MCC Daily Tribune in December 2009, the PAC Center has achieved a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold ranking. The PAC Center is the first Monroe County and MCC facility to earn this recognition. Congratulations to those who were involved in this outstanding effort!

The U.S. Green Building Council has recognized the PAC Center for optimal energy performance (HVAC and lighting); use of GREEN power (76% of the building's electricity usage is provided by renewable sources); use of recycled building materials (39% of the total building materials content, by value, have been manufactured using recycled materials) and innovative design.

The Washington, D.C.-based U.S. Green Building Council is a non-profit organization committed to a prosperous and sustainable future for our nation through cost-efficient and energy-saving green buildings.
