Access Library Resources From Off Campus

Students, faculty and staff can now access library databases from home. Through MCC's participation in SUNYConnect, we now have remote access to library electronic resources through a product called EZproxy. The SUNY Office of Library and Information Services has entered into a SUNY-wide license agreement for EZproxy. EZproxy is a program designed specifically for providing library users with remote access to web-based licensed databases. It is produced by Useful Utilities of Phoenix, Arizona.

EZproxy will authenticate users to campus mail servers and NT Domains. Students will need to know their MCC student email address and password to use the resources remotely. Faculty, staff and administrators will use their PC login username and password. For some faculty, passwords may need to be reset from their PC on campus. The help desk (ext. 4357) can assist in password resets.

To try out this new feature, go to: www.monroecc.edu/depts/library/article.htm and click on the EZPROXY button on the right hand side of the page.
