Rochester Police Officer Daryl Pierson


Rochester Police Officer Daryl R. Pierson, age 32,  was killed in the line of duty on Wednesday, September 3, 2014.  Officer Pierson graduated from Monroe Community College’s Public Safety Training Facility as a member of Police Recruit Class # 46 on June 29, 2007.   Officer Pierson was an exemplary police officer who selflessly gave his life in service protecting the citizens of the Rochester community.  Daryl’s survivors include his wife Amy, son Christian, age 4 years and infant daughter Charity, age 3 months. 

Daryl’s visitation will be held at the Bartolomeo and Perotto Funeral Home, located at 1411 Vintage Lane from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM on Monday, September 8th and Tuesday, September 9th.   Funeral services will be held at the Blue Cross Arena located at 100 Exchange Blvd., Rochester NY at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 10, 2014.

You can also contribute by sending a check payable to the Officer Daryl R. Pierson Memorial fund to the Rochester Police Foundation Inc., 206 Park Ave., Rochester, NY 14607.

A donation may also be made to the MCC Foundation, 228 E. Main St, Rochester, NY 14604.  Please note the gift is in memory of Officer Pierson.  The gift will be applied to a future memorial to Officer Pierson at the Public Safety Training Facility.
