The Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Project will host its 7th annual Walk for Water to benefit Water for South Sudan, Inc. on Sunday morning, October 5 at MCC. This year’s HGHRP goal is to raise $6,000 to help fund the drilling of safe-water wells in Southern Sudan. Water for South Sudan Founder and MCC Alumni Hall of Fame member Salva Dut and author Linda Sue Park will be present at the walk!

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m.; the walk begins at 10 a.m. in Lot G rain or shine. Registration fee is $10 per person; $12 per person at the door. Prizes will be awarded for top fundraisers.

Since 2006, MCC students and community supporters have raised more than $50,000 for Water for South Sudan. In 2009, a well in Sudan was dedicated in MCC’s name. HYPERLINK "
