Celebrate Open Education Week

Open Education Week (OE Week) is a global celebration each year which strives to increase awareness and highlight open education endeavors and accomplishments worldwide.  Maybe you already do some work in the "open", and maybe you don't know much about it, but you can learn something either way by exploring these events and resources:

  •  The Open Education Week website will direct you to live activities and events happening all over the world all week long. Some of the many presentations include: Wikipedia in the Classroom, Open Pedagogy & Equity, and OER and Social Justice.
  • SUNY Online is hosting several presentations this week featuring SUNY faculty.  If you can't make it to the live presentations, check back on the website for recordings.
  • Interested in Open Educational Resources (OER) for foreign languages?  Check out the 2021 Foreign Language OER Conference on Saturday, March 6th.  Details and (free) registration are on the COERLL website.
  • LibreTexts is presenting all week on topics including open homework assessment systems, how to customize your textbook with LibreTexts platform, and building your textbook with interactive visualizations and dynamic annotations.
