The Week Ahead

The office of Student Life & Leadership Development presents the following events for the next week:

Talk It Out 

  • Monday, April 4th, 12:00-1:00 pm, PRISM Multicultural Center (Building 1-Room 108)

Are you feeling overwhelmed by recent events in Ukraine? Campus One80, Chinese Culture Club, and Ukrainian professor Elena Dilai would like to provide a listening ear for anyone who needs to talk through their feelings about the war, especially people of Ukrainian heritage.

Humanitarian Mapping Event

  • Tuesday, April 5th, 4:00- 5:30 pm, Building 11-111

Everyone is welcome to attend MCC's humanitarian mapping event Tuesday, April 5 from 4-5:30 pm! The event will be held in person (Brighton campus, 11-111) and via Zoom.  The event is led by MCC's Mapping Club, a YouthMappers Chapter, and is designed for those with no prior experience! This event is being co-sponsored by the Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Project (HGHRP) as well as Global Education and International Services (GEIS).

Faculty Advisor Interest Luncheon

Interested in becoming a faculty advisor to one of the 50 or more clubs and organizations on campus for next academic year? Join Student Life and Leadership for this luncheon to learn about the benefits of becoming an advisor!

National Burrito Day 

  • Thursday, April 7th, 12:00- 2:00 pm,  R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center Atrium

Did you know that April 7th is National Burrito Day? We did!! What better way to celebrate than with a burrito bar. Join Campus Activities Board in the terrace to indulge in a burrito and celebrate!

  • Student Government Association Elections: Student Government Association wants you! Be a part of the change; for the students by the students! Interested in joining? Click the links below to apply for a leadership position!

  • Phi Theta Kappa officers will be travelling to Denver, CO this week to present their research and findings for their College Project and Honors In Action at the National PTK Catalyst!
  • Biology Club members will be travelling this weekend to the Buffalo Aquarium with a guided educational tour that includes meeting a friendly octopus
