Vocabulary and Names Used in English Literature, Writing Courses and Drama are Now Available in ASL.

Vocabulary and names used in English Literature, Writing Courses and Drama are now available in ASL.

The newest addition to the ASL Lexicon website has gone live.
<https://literature.aslprimers.org/lexicon/>

The goal of this project is to propose linguistically correct ASL signs to help develop consistency in the ASL lexicon.

Please keep in mind that the website is still being updated.  When completed in the next few months, it will have over 350 vocabulary words, character names, titles of well know works, authors, expansions and much more.  Please note, terms used in Writing Courses have not been added yet, they are still being processed.

If there is something that you would like to have added or expanded, please contact Prof. Rita Straubhaar at: <mailto:rstraubhaar@monroecc.edu> .  We are always open to suggestions and ideas.

Being a multi-year project, this summer, we plan on adding terms used in biology and physics.
