MCC Child Care Center Receives Federal Grant

MCC has received $179,341 in federal funds to support initiatives aimed at improving the accessibility and quality of child care available to student parents. The grant, awarded through the U.S. Department of Education’s "https://www.ed.gov/programs/campisp/index.html" Child Care Access Means Parents In School (CCAMPIS) program, will provide MCC with child care funding for low-income student parents attending the MCC Child Care Center over the next four years.

CCAMPIS is a program for low-income student parents that encourages the completion of a college degree by providing funding for students’ child care expenses. The funds will be used to provide child care tuition subsidy for low-income MCC student parents with children attending the MCC Child Care Center.
