Recyclemania Successful at Residence Halls

Recyclemania is over and it was a huge success!  Competition got pretty steep over in the residence halls. I am pleased to announce Tribune and Pioneer halls are tied for first place in this year’s recycling challenge.  They will be rewarded with a pizza party held in residence hall quad.  Thank you to all students for participating.

On a national level, the 2011 participating colleges recycled or composted an impressive 91 million pounds of material.  For its sixth year in a row Cal State San Marco has taken first place.  All schools should be extremely proud of their participation and consider themselves winners.

MCC competed in the benchmark division and therefore was not competing against the other schools in the competition. Check out https://www.recyclemania.org/ to see the full competition results and to check out MCC’s profile.
