A long-time resident of Swan’s Island, Maine, Rainford’s poetry juxtaposes the beauty of that landscape with penetrating details about the people who inhabit it. Like all great writers associated with particular regions, his work transcends locale and has universal appeal. Rainford is also an expert professor who has taught online for the Department of English and Philosophy for well over a decade.  Please welcome him to the community. Both events are free and open to the college community and public.

For more information about either the reading or the workshop, please contact Tony Leuzzi at aleuzzi@monroecc.edu.
