Save the Date
The annual McMurry Lecture in Philosophy, given in honor of Morland J. McMurry, former MCC Associate Professor of Philosophy, will be given by Gerardo Vildostegui, Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Rutgers-Camden. Professor Vildostegui’s talk “On the Puerto Rican “Status Question” will address conflicting views on the relations of Puerto Rico to the United States, the tensions in theories of democracy related to the conflicting views, and the contributions political philosophy can make to resolving the conflict. The lecture is from 12:00 to 12:50 April 12 in room 5-100. All members of the college community are welcome.
This year the annual lecture will be supplemented by a faculty and staff discussion with Professor Vildostegui at 3:00 on teaching issues related to Puerto Rico and colonialism. The discussion session will be held in the TCC classroom, 12-201
