HSMI to Receive 40K Grant from FEMA

The Homeland Security Management Institute was recently awarded an additional 40K to continue their work in citizen preparedness. Monroe Community College is one of the five lead community colleges that developed the curriculum for FEMA entitled, Community College Citizen Preparedness Program and was responsible for rolling out the program to an additional 120 community colleges in the past three years.

Although the grant officially ends on September 30, 2012, Monroe Community College is only one of two community colleges in the nation to receive additional dollars to carry out our work with Citizen Preparedness.
