The Teaching & Creativity Center will hold its Teaching & Learning Conference on Friday, June 15 in the Warshoff Conference Center Monroe A and B.
The event begins at 8:30 a.m. with an interactive workshop presented by Dr. Elizabeth Barkley, author of Student Engagement Techniques: A Handbook for College Faculty. We will be distributing copies of Dr. Barkley’s book at the event, and it will inform the TCC’s fall 2012 programs.
More info about Dr. Barkley is available here: https://web.me.com/elizabethbarkley/Elizabeth_Barkley/Home.html
We will serve lunch after Dr. Barkley’s workshop and then have breakout sessions (interactive workshops, roundtable discussions, and more!) presented by MCC faculty.
This event is open to all faculty (senior, new, tenured, untenured, adjunct), professional staff, and administrators.
Please RSVP for the event here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/7YF2YTR
And please consider doing a presentation during the afternoon breakout sessions! This is a new feature that we hope will expand our conversations about teaching across departments and disciplines. For more information about presentation formats and to submit a presentation idea, please follow this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Z8LVF5N
The deadline to submit presentations is Tuesday, May 22.
