SUNY Guided Pathways Institute #4 Hosted at Orange County Community College

On January 17 & 18, 2019, SUNY Orange hosted the fourth of six institutes part of the SUNY Guided Pathways project, a grant focused on supporting colleges as they implement the four pillars of guided pathways:

  • Clarify the Path
  • Help Students Choose and Enter a Path
  • Help Students Stay on their Path
  • Ensure Students are Learning

During the institute, ten SUNY community college teams had time to work through their institutional plans and participate in sessions led by several dynamic speakers who discussed the institute's theme "Supporting Student Progress on Their Pathway". The team from Monroe Community College included the following:

  • Medea Rambish, Dean of Academic Foundations & SUNY Guided Pathways Team Facilitator
  • Susan Belair, Sociology
  • Kimberly DeLardge, Director of Student Services at the Downtown Campus
  • Gary Johnson, Director of Schools and Integrated Pathways
  • Jason Parker, Director of Learning Support Systems
  • Eileen Wirley, CIO and Associate Vice President, Technology Services

Many members of the MCC community also worked to plan and facilitate institute #4 including:

  • Andrea Wade, Provost and Vice President & SUNY Guided Pathways Participating and Planning Team Member
  • Kimberley Collins, Associate Vice President & SUNY Guided Pathways Project Lead
  • Alex Campanis, Support Staff, Schools and Pathways
  • Renee Dimino, ESOL and TRS & SUNY Guided Pathways Project Director
  • Amanda Rampe, Technical Assistant to the Schools
  • Jessica Wilkie, English and Philosophy & SUNY Guided Pathways Coach and Faculty Liaison

Many thanks to all who helped make SUNY Guided Pathways institute #4 a success. Institute #5 will be hosted at Monroe Community College in March.
