Kevin T. Stickles ’88, MCC Alumni Hall of Fame Inductee

Kevin T. Stickles ’88, vice president of human resources, Wegmans Food Markets, will be inducted into the MCC Alumni Hall of Fame at the MCC Foundation’s Salute to Excellence on Thursday evening, November 14. In addition to being an outstanding alumnus, Kevin is an MCC trustee and a director of the MCC Foundation Board. He was nominated by Trustee Emeritus Richard S. Warshof ’68. Following is a piece of Kevin’s inspiring story:

Alumnus Kevin T. Stickles went from stocking store shelves as a young man to managing more than 44,000 employees as a seasoned operations and human resources professional for Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. His success story correlates to the values of our community’s most legendary companies—setting and maintaining high standards, making a difference and caring for the well-being and success of employees.

A member of the MCC Tribunes Men’s Golf Team, Kevin graduated from MCC with an associate degree in business administration and economics before transferring to SUNY Oswego to pursue a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance and economics. He earned his MBA from the Pamplin School of Business at Virginia Tech, with a concentration in management and finance.

While working his way up through the ranks to store management he directly supported 20 new store openings. His MCC roles are threefold: as an alumnus, an MCC Foundation Director and the college’s newest trustee. He also serves on the Nazareth HRM Advisory Council, the Ibero Advisory Board, several human resources boards and associations. He lives with his family live in Brighton.
