The inaugural George Monagan Memorial Men's Basketball Tournament will be held this weekend at MCC. The tournament will feature three of the top five teams in the nation in Division II.
Saturday's first round will start at 6 p.m., with No. 2 Harcum College taking on Niagara College. The 8 p.m. game will feature No. 1 Cincinnati State and No. 5 MCC, a rematch of last year's national semifinal won by the Tribunes.
The consolation will be 1 p.m. on Sunday, with the championship game slated to start at 3 p.m.
The tournament is dedicated to the memory of George Monagan, one of MCC's original 39 faculty members and the college's first athletic director.
