Bridgette Yaxley Honored

Bridgette M. Yaxley, Assistant English Adjunct Professor in the English & Philosophy Department, has been honored with an invitation to serve within The Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs at The U.S. State Department as part of the Virtual Student Foreign Service (VSFS) eInternship program due to her impressive level of dedication she provided during the internship she completed last year that focused on global trends in online education. Over 3,500 candidates applied for less than 300 internships during the 2014-2015 year; however, Ms. Yaxley's expertise (theoretically, analytically, and pedagogically) and doctoral-level research focusing specifically on online education as she has worked collaboratively and concurrently with The State Department to examine this subject has led to this accomplishment. Ms. Yaxley is also completing a Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) at the University of Rochester at the present time.
