292-BABY Receives Grant

292-BABY, formerly Rochester Parent Network, a community collaboration administered by Monroe Community College, is pleased to announce that Halcyon Hill Foundation has recently awarded a two-year grant for $50,000. The funds will be directed to the maintenance of our interactive network and will help us to design and deliver new programs that provide essential information to parents and professional development opportunities to caregivers.

Halcyon Hill has long been a supporter of early childhood in Greater Rochester and has partnered with 292-BABY and MCC for the last several years to create new coursework and programs that support the professional development needed in the early care and education industry. 292-BABY President Jim Coffey, VaPA, states “our vision is that all children in our community reach potential. With 70% of our three-year-olds in care outside the home it is imperative that their caregivers have the best educational opportunities possible. A partnership between 292-BABY/MCC and Halcyon Hill Foundation, which has recognized that 292-BABY is a key resource for parents and caregivers, is a natural one that benefits everyone.”
