The Downtown Campus discussion will be led by Margaret Rex, a Ph.D. candidate within the Sociology Department at University at Buffalo, who has an interest in the intersection between race, social class and anti-government attitudes, political participation. Margaret is completing her dissertation on research she has done about extreme far-right and far-left groups, specifically anti-government militia. She will present briefly on her research and answer questions about the rise in hate crimes and hate speech.
