Celebrate Open Education Week- Day Three

*Day Three Highlights*

  • Since 2015, MCC faculty using Open Educational Resources (OER) have provided students with over $2 million in savings. In 2017-18, more than 5,100 of our students taking courses using OER saved $692,948!
  • Some of our dedicated OER Champions at MCC include:
    • Tori Matthews (Biology)
    • Elizabeth Johnston (English/Philosophy)
    • Paul Seeburger (Mathematics)
    • Kara Tierney, Aswana Sadique, Ryan Clemens, and Margaret Kaminsky (Chemistry)
    • Terry Shamblin and Renee Dimino (College Success)
  • SUNY OER Services was formed to support OER efforts across all SUNY campuses. Find Ready-to-Adopt courses at oer.suny.edu
  • SUNY OER Services created a series of community courses ranging from "Understanding OER" to an "Open Pedagogy Master Class". All are open and free!
