Quotes That Inspire
As we continue to drive the operations of the College in our distant and remote reality, expressions of kindness and empathy are particularly welcomed by colleagues at this time. This quote submitted by Michael Bialaszewski, who serves in our Department of Public Safety and as an instructor at the Public Safety Training Facility, underscores why such expressions are both generous and self-serving.
"Resolve to be tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant of the weak and wrong. Sometime in life you will have been all of these." -- George Washington Carver, agricultural scientist and inventor
According to Mike, "We will be all of these ... It is good to remember that as we meet many people on our journey, we would want the same treatment when we become these things."
Thank you, Mike, for graciously reminding us of how we can make a difference in the lives of others while being mindful of our own vulnerabilities. Thanks, too, for serving to keep all of us at MCC safe during these challenging times. Your dedication, and that of your fellow officers, does not go unnoticed. Gracias. Danke. Merci. Arigato. Thank you.
