Rochester AmeriCorps Program Needs Books

Rochester AmeriCorps, in collaboration with the City of Rochester’s Bureau of Parks and Recreation and Mayor Duffy’s Literacy Initiative, has developed a service project for its members and the City’s VISTA volunteers. On Friday, April 11th, the project will set up reading corners in four Recreation Centers: Adams St, Edgerton, North St, and Webster Ave. If you have new or gently used children’s books to donate, please drop them off at the AmeriCorps office by Wednesday, April 9 or send them via campus mail to DCC room 5232. We’d like to have as many books as possible so that the shelves in each reading corner are FULL!
