East Henrietta Road to be Reduced to a Single Lane on Wednesday

Beginning at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, June 17, our friends at the New York State Department of Transportation will be paving East Henrietta Road, just south of Crittenden Road. East Henrietta Road will be reduced to a single lane in each direction from the bridge over I-390 to East Squire Drive. At the I-390 Exit 16 interchange, (just north of Crittenden), one of the two right turn lanes on the southbound exit ramp will be closed; on the northbound exit ramp one of the two left turn lanes will be closed.

MCC Entrance A will also be closed during this work. Traffic will be maintained in a single lane in each direction on each side of the median.

Please consider using an alternate route (such as the I-390 southbound exit ramp to Brighton Henrietta Town Line Road - Exit 15B), or allow additional travel time if entering MCC from Exit 16.

Top course paving of East Henrietta Road will generally be done during weekday hours starting the week of June 29, with the exception of the section from Crittenden Rd to I-390 which has tentatively been scheduled for Saturday, June 20 (with a backup date of June 27) to reduce traffic delays.

Also, beginning today, Clay Road will be closed between Brighton Henrietta Town Line Road and Mushroom Boulevard through Saturday, June 20 The purpose for this week-long closure is to perform grading and paving operations on Clay Road. A posted detour will direct motorists to use East Henrietta Road and Jefferson Road.  All driveways and Mushroom Boulevard will be open and accessible from the direction of Jefferson Road north.

This work is part of the $8.8 million capital contract to reconstruct a section of East Henrietta Road and to build a new access ramp extending Clay Road from Brighton Henrietta Town Line Road to East Henrietta Road in the towns of Brighton and Henrietta, Monroe County that began in November 2007. The project is slated for completion by mid-summer. Daily traffic reports can be accessed at HYPERLINK "https://www.travelinfony.com/"www.travelinfony.com.
