Scholarship Open Moves to the Country Club of Rochester

Golfers looking for a significant, challenge while supporting student success should consider playing in the Monroe Community College Foundation’s 27th annual Scholarship Open. The tournament will be held on Monday, June 27 at The Country Club of Rochester, 2935 East Avenue. Tournament proceeds support student scholarships and programs at MCC.

The Scholarship Open offers a highly enjoyable pace of play (scramble format) and friendly competition, including hole-in-one contests. The tournament is limited to a 128-player field and begins with a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m. Food and beverages will be served throughout the day. A silent auction, dinner, scholarship call and awards will be held immediately following the tournament.

Each player will have the opportunity to choose a custom dress shirt, casual shirt or gift certificate from Europa Custom Clothiers. Players will also have a chance to win a 50” flat screen television courtesy of Brite Computers.

The tournament planning committee is led by co-chairs Jeff Davis, president of Elmer W. Davis, and Jay Judson, principal of SWBR Architects & Engineers, P.C. Both serve as directors on the MCC Foundation Board.

The cost to play is $600 per person; $2,400 per foursome. Contact the MCC Foundation at x1500 or "mailto:mccf@monroecc.edu" by Friday, June 3 to reserve your foursome.
