Civility: Fostering, Responding, and Reacting-In and Out of the Classroom
When faculty members experience incidents with disgruntled or threatening students in violation of the College’s Civility Policy, whether minor or egregious, maintaining a positive outlook while meeting the day-to-day obligations of an instructor AND going through the various processes in response and reaction to such incidents, can be challenging. Join Yulanda McKinney (English) and others as past experiences are used to foster a community of respect and protection. Let’s brainstorm practices of how to respond and react when students behave uncivilly together.
