"Great Issues -- Great Cases": Griswold v. Connecticut

The inaugural "Great Issues, Great Cases" series, sponsored by the Department of Anthropology/History/Political Science/Sociology, will be held NEXT MONDAY, October 10, in Bldg. 8, Room 300, at 7:00 p.m.  This year's roundtable panel will examine the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Griswold v. Connecticut, on the occasion of its 40th anniversary.  This case formed the foundational basis for the establishment of a Constitutional right to privacy.

The fundmental issues related to privacy, particularly marital & familial privacy, are so important to us even today.  Thus, our panel of experts will present remarks and then field questions from the general audience.  This event is free, open to the public, and promises a great degree of interpersonal interaction and discussion.

Our confirmed panelists include:

Susan Cable, professorof law and criminal justice, Department of Law & Criminal Justice
Bethany Gizzi, instructor of sociology, Department of Anthropology/History/Political Science/Sociology
Karen Morris, professor of business administration, Department of Business Administration; Judge for the Town of Brighton

We hope you will join us on NEXT MONDAY, October 10, at 7:00 p.m. in Bldg. 8, Room 300, for this important discussion!
