Support of the Snowflake Scholarship Fund Continues to Grow

Despite below-freezing temperatures this winter, our campus community has once again warmly embraced the opportunity to support the Snowflake Scholarship Fund. Since 2009, President Kress and her husband, Ned Davis, pledged to match employee contributions of $1 or more to the fund. In addition, the Brighton and Damon City Campus Bookstores began a new tradition by offering the first-ever MCC snowflake ornament. All proceeds from the sale of the ornaments benefits the Snowflake Scholarship Fund, and in turn, MCC students.

This season, a total of $3,099 was raised to benefit the fund. The fund provides $1,500 awards to students with financial need who maintain a 3.0 GPA and complete 15 hours of community service each semester with a non-profit agency.

Many thanks to the Kress-Davis Family and to everyone who contributed to the Snowflake Scholarship Fund -- your generosity is creating more opportunities for students to complete their studies at MCC.

P.S. Spring is only 44 days away!
