Clarke Perspective on Genocide Included in Freedom Magazine

Charles Clarke, professor of psychology, was quoted in the article “A Deadly Need to Belong,” written by Susan Ladika for Freedom, a Webzine produced by the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. The article explored why genocide continues to occur in modern society and the lack of response by the international community to the Bosnian and Rwandan genocides.

Professor Clarke, who also serves as director of the college’s Holocaust Genocide Studies Project, said that genocide prevention requires “the willingness of international Organization to invest blood and treasure. Nothing is going to help unless somebody gets involved.”
