Brennan-Barry presents, is honored at HighEdWeb Annual Conference

Colleen Brennan-Barry, associate director-web communications, Marketing and Community Relations, recently helped lead and presented at the 2017 Annual Conference of the Higher Education Web Professionals Association (HighEdWeb) in Hartford, CT. While there, Colleen was also recognized for her tenure as HighEdWeb president.

In her role as HighEdWeb president, Colleen presented the annual "State of the Profession and Association" address to the assembled full body of close to 1000 attendees. At the conclusion of her address, Colleen was honored with a standing ovation and presented with a resolution naming her a lifetime member of HighEdWeb - the highest honor the Association can offer in recognition of "outstanding contributions to the profession and to the Higher Education Web Professionals Association."

Colleen's four-year tenure as HighEdWeb president and her time as a member of the Board of Directors, which she joined in 2009, concludes in November 2017. She will serve as president emerita and remain an active HighEdWeb volunteer as the Annual Conference marketing, communications and attendee relations chair.

Founded in 1999, HighEdWeb is an international organization of several thousand professionals working to advance the web at institutions of higher education. Members design, develop, manage and map the futures of higher education digital communications and services.
