Islamic Scholars Visit MCC

MCC hosted a group of Islamic Scholars from Saudi Arabia on Friday, October 23. The group has come to the U.S. to learn more about our education system. They represented Um Alqura University, Taibah University, Islamic University of Madinah, King Khaled University and Imam Mohammed bin Saud University.  The group met with Dr. Janet Glocker, vice president of Academic Services, Dr. Michael McDonough, dean of Liberal Arts, Ms. Betty Stewart, director of the Campus Center, and students Qasim Ijaz and Jonathan Cahill-Weather. The group also visited the University of Rochester’s Warner School of Education, Simon School of Business, RIT, Nazareth College, and the Pittsford School District. The scholars were thoroughly impressed with MCC and commented that “it was a perfect ending to their visit in Rochester.”
