In seeking to provide more students with the advantages dual enrollment offers, I am thrilled to announce our new Inspiring Every Day scholarship.
The scholarship goal is to assist students who qualify for dual enrollment courses but lack the financial resources to participate. Beginning with the 2014-15 academic year, MCC’s Inspiring Every Day scholarship will provide scholarships to economically disadvantaged students to cover their portion of the dual enrollment tuition. Under this pilot program, the scholarship will be made available to any student eligible for free or reduced lunch (FRL). Effectively, through Inspiring Every Day, students eligible for FRL who enroll and succeed in an MCC dual enrollment course would earn college credit for free.
I am excited for the opportunity this scholarship offers students. The Inspiring Every Day scholarship will allow more high school students to fulfill their promise and build affordable, effective, and accelerated pathways to college.
