Department of Public Safety Active Threat Training

Please remember, the Department of Public Safety will be holding Active Threat/Shooter training in Building 12 of Monroe Community College's Brighton Campus. This training session is an integral part of the College's emergency preparedness effort. This first session of training will occur on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 9th and 10. The hours of training will be approximately 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Signs will be posted all around the training area and uniformed personnel will be stationed at specific access points to ensure those not involved in the training will not be allowed to enter the specified area.

The training is practical in nature and may appear real to those observing the ongoing activity. However, these training sessions are important, as they will provide our Public Safety staff with the most current Active Threat/Shooter mitigation training available. Since students will be on campus during the summer semester at that time, we are asking Faculty to advise their students of this activity to avoid causing any concerns. If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at 292-2904 or khall006@monroecc.edu. Thank you.
