After four long months of hard work and preparation, Rochester Early College International High School hosted their 5th annual student fashion show. Ten Upward Bound students volunteered their time to work as coordinators and performers in the show. We would like to congratulate Andrea, Angeliz, Catherine, Diamonique, Diana, Kimani, Nadijah, Nakiyah, and Zaria. The fashion show was about more than just fashion, it was about empowering young women to be confident and courageous. In addition to the runway show, the girls preformed step routines, poetry, and rap. Here at Upward Bound we are so glad that our young women were given the opportunity to break out of their comfort zones, become leaders, and gain more self-confidence.
