Vice President Dr. Todd Oldham to Join Virginia Office of Education Economics

Please join me in congratulating MCC Vice President of Economic Development, Workforce and Career Technical Education Dr. Todd Oldham, who has accepted the opportunity to serve as the director of research for the Virginia Office of Education Economics (VOEE). VOEE provides information and analysis on linkages between education and employment to enable policymakers and educators to respond to the talent needs of Virginia’s economy.

Vice President Oldham joined MCC in 2011 to help lead the new Division of Economic Development and Innovative Workforce Services (EDIWS). Under his leadership, MCC grew its partnerships within business, industry and economic development sectors and expanded our workforce development and career technical programs to respond to the specific needs of regional employers.

Vice President Oldham and his team put MCC on the national and state radar as a premier provider of labor market intelligence. We thank Vice President Oldham for his inspiring leadership, his innovative and data-driven solutions, and, most of all, his impact on the lives of MCC alumni who are now enjoying rewarding careers.

We wish him continued success in his new role.

MCC is committed to the success of the EDIWS division, its students and its initiatives. We will identify an interim vice president as soon as possible and will expedite the search for the permanent vice president. Leadership and membership of the search committee will be inclusive, with representation from across the college community. An official posting will be available on the Human Resources' Job Opportunities web page.
