Pi Day Competition Results

The Pi Day (March 14) competition to recite digits of p (pi) produced impressive results. First place in the Faculty/Staff division was Ms. Elena Dilai, Instructor of Mathematics, who knew pi to 90 decimal places. However, even that outstanding performance was topped by the best student. Liberal Arts student Michael McMillan of Greece recited an amazing 170 decimal places of pi!!! Congratulations to the winners and to all of the participants. (If you start learning one digit per day now, you may be able to win next year's competition!)
