Arizona and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

You may have heard about an aircraft-carrier-sized asteroid making a close pass by Earth just last week.  Pretty to watch, and it could have been worse - much worse.  Case in point: Barringer Crater in northern Arizona (website: https://www.barringercrater.com/), formed by a similar, but much smaller, object 50,000 years ago.

Why should you care? - Websites are great, but there's nothing like being there, and this is the second stop in the field portion of GEO 195 - now registering!
