EDIWS Division Office Relocation

The Economic Development and Innovative Workforce Services division is growing and evolving to keep pace with local employers’ workforce training needs. To support the division’s growth and the staff required to manage the recently awarded $14.6 million MCC-led, SUNY-wide job training grant, it is necessary to rethink division office space. Currently, the Office of Workforce Development and the EDIWS administrative staff are spread across three locations, and there is no co-located office space for the staff who will manage the job training grant.

For these reasons, the EDIWS division office, the Office of Workforce Development, and the staff for the job training grant will move into leased office space at 1057 East Henrietta Road, across the street from the Brighton Campus, sometime in February. This is a temporary measure until the new MCC campus is established at the Kodak property. As you can imagine, bringing this team together under one roof will provide for significant efficiencies, as well as support, as we work to further advance the college’s educational efforts in the area of economic/workforce development.

The vacated space in the Academic Services suite on the Brighton Campus will be filled by a new Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management. Plans are being developed by the Academic Services Division to utilize the space on the Damon City Campus that is being vacated by the Office of Workforce Development.

Contact information for the space at 1057 East Henrietta Road will be posted in the MCC Daily Tribune as soon as it is available.
