Joan Moorehead, Admissions Counselor, has been appointed to the Monroe County/Rochester Youth Council for a three-year term by Mayor Robert Duffy and County Executive Maggie Brooks.
The role of the Youth Council is to advise the local Workforce Investment Board on the development and implementation of workforce development services to youth throughout Monroe County. The Council will lead the integration of services to youth in order to make more efficient and effective use of program resources from all system partners. By understanding workforce development needs, anticipating trends and focusing on system outcomes and performance, the Youth Council can effect substantial long-term change in the economic well being of the community.
