There and back again: Olfactory research with King Penguins and life in the Sub-Antarctic.

There and back again: Olfactory research with King Penguins and life in the Sub-Antarctic.

Dr. Gregory Cunningham is a Professor of Biology at St. John Fisher College. In this talk he'll discuss his studies of the olfactory behaviours of King Penguins conducted on a remote Sub-Antarctic Island. He has studied birds and their sense of smell all around the world. His talk will be a mixture of science, photography, and tales of life in one of the most remote places on the Earth.

The nature of this lecture is such that it would appeal to a wide variety of science-minded and nonscience-minded people alike.

This event is only open to current MCC employees and current MCC students.

Date: Friday, November 1, 2019 from 12:00 to 12:50 in Building 8, Room 200
