Karen Morris Receives Humanitarian Award


Congratulations to SUNY Distinguished Professor and Brighton Town Justice Karen L. Morris (Business Administration/Economics) for receiving the 2009 Humanitarian Award from the Foundation of the Monroe County Bar Association on Law Day, May 1.

Morris was recognized for her community leadership and involvement with service-oriented groups, such as Alternatives for Battered Women, Inc. and Girls Scouts, during her 30-year legal career in Rochester. Morris was one of the first presidents of the Greater Rochester Association for Women Attorneys. In addition to teaching business law at MCC, she is a faculty advisor to Phi Theta Kappa and helped establish a Hillel Club on campus.
