Juvenile Delinquency, Gangs and Cults

Juvenile Delinquency, Gangs and Cults

Steering Rochester-area youths away from gangs and cults takes a community. School staff, safety officers, parents and the community will learn how they can intervene and prevent youths from becoming involved with extremist groups in a program led by Rochester Police Department Officer Moses Robinson.

On January 20 Robinson will explain how disconnected youths become prime targets for recruitment by gangs and cults and describe early warning signs, such as symbols, ritualistic behaviors and possible drug involvement that youth may exhibit.

This awareness level course “Juvenile Delinquency, Gangs and Cults” will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, in Room 117 at the Public Safety Training Facility, 1190 Scottsville Road in Chili.
