On Monday, October 23, 2006, the Admissions Office sponsored a reception and mini-college fair featuring Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) The program was a first-time initiative to create and build partnerships with HBCUs and was coordinated by Admissions Counselors Tracy Archie, Joan Moorehead, and Clayton Jones.
Vice President of Academic Services Dr. Janet J. Glocker gave the welcome. The program included an Admissions and Transfer Overview by Clayton Jones and a Financial Aid & Scholarships presentation by Mark Schwartz and Joan Moorehead. Guest colleges included Morgan State University, North Carolina A & T, and Tuskegee University.
The Admissions Office would like to thank the college community including the Residence Life Office, and especially the Diversity Council for their support of this event.
