Hi everyone. I am asking for your support for 292-BABY, MCC’s outreach to Greater Rochester’s early childhood community. You can support 292-BABY through the United Way by selecting donor designation #2406.
Funding for early childhood initiatives is extremely difficult to get even in good times because funders want child outcomes within a year. The effects of early childhood experiences often do not manifest themselves until many years later. In the current economic climate funding is especially hard to come by so I am asking for your support and a donation at any level is helpful to us.
Your contribution will help us to:
· Continue our phone service where anyone can talk to a registered nurse from 7:00 AM to midnight seven days a week on any non-emergency issue. (We passed our 10,000th call in 2010.)
· Continue to increase the quantity and quality of our video library which currently contains over 100 educational videos for parents and caregivers of infants covering a variety of topics from pre-pregnancy and pregnancy through age three. We believe it is the largest collection of early childhood educational videos in the world. These videos are shown nightly on Cable Channel 4 from 8:00 -10:00 PM Monday through Friday and can now be found on our website 24/7 at https://www.292baby.org/
· Expand/upgrade the capacity of our 292-BABY TV studio at the Damon City Campus.
