Helping Our Student Succeed (HOUSS) Referral Form

Here is another resource available for you to assist our students to succeed at MCC.

MCC Student Services has established Helping Our Students Succeed (HOUSS), an electronic tool to refer students who may have academic or social concerns, and link them to the College’s resources and supports.  The reasons for referral may include, but are not limited to, absenteeism, lateness, late assignments, incivility, personal and health issues, or social difficulties.  The goal is to identify students who may be at risk and to connect them with the supports to promote retention.  Faculty and staff are encouraged to consider prompt referral to assist the student in achieving their goals.  Referred students will be assessed by the Student Behavioral Consultation Team membership and appropriate follow-up services offered.

For additional information on an early alert intervention system, read the attached article about the University of North Carolina at Greensboro’s program.
