Now that the semester is fully underway the Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) office would like to welcome faculty to join the SSD staff for a collaborative discussion on Friday, October 11th from 11:30am-1:00pm in the Flynn Campus Center, Room 3–119. We hope to cover some frequently asked questions; such as, how do I know if a student is registered with the Disabilities office? What is my responsibility if a student provides me with an Accommodation Letter from the Services for Students with Disabilities office but chooses not to use any accommodations in my class? What if a student doesn’t ask to use an accommodation until after failing several assignments or exams? I am concerned about my student’s behaviors in the classroom; could this be related to his/her disability?
