2006 MCC United Way Campaign Earns Inaugural Award

We are pleased to announce that the 2006 MCC United Way Campaign earned the Inaugural Cornerstone Society Award from the United Way of Greater Rochester in recognition of employee gifts of $100,000 or more.  On Tuesday, June 27th at the Campaign Thank You breakfast, Millie Lewis and Charlotte Downing, Campaign Coordinators, proudly accepted the award on behalf of MCC employees who gave generously toward the College’s $100,000 campaign goal.  We understand the reality of job losses, retirements and rising gas prices; yet over 625 members of the MCC family gave $100,647 in support of the greater Rochester community.

We’re also pleased to announce MCC employee, Sean Flesch, Communications and Network Services, was one of the 2006 Sweepstakes Winners of a $100 gift card to Wegmans. You can find the names of all the sweepstakes winners posted on the United Way of Greater Rochester website, <<https://www.uwrochester.org>>.

Did you know that the United Way of Greater Rochester is ranked the 4th best in the country?  The $34.5 million and counting raised in the 2006 campaign will fund best-practices and proven programs and providers to build a stronger community for all residents. It’s also not too late to make a donation to the MCC campaign. Just return your pledge form and envelope to Millie Lewis.

As a 2006 United Way Inaugural Cornerstone Society recipient, MCC receives acknowledgement of another great team, the United Way campaign volunteers. We sincerely thank the campaign volunteers, employees and retirees who made the 2006 campaign an award winner.
