Creating Cultural Alliances through Higher Education - A Presentation by the Cameroon Ambassador to the US


His Excellency Joseph B.C. Foe-Atangana, Cameroon’s Ambassador to the United States, will visit MCC on Friday, November 18. The Ambassador’s visit to the College is part of a four-day visit to Rochester sponsored by the Cameroonian Association of Greater Rochester (CAGR).  CAGR seeks to promote cultural and academic cooperation between Cameroonian and American institutions of higher education.

MCC will join the Rochester Baobab Cultural Center in hosting, “Creating Cultural Alliances through Higher Education,” a presentation by Ambassador Joseph B.C. Foe-Atangana to be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. in the Theatre, Brighton Campus (Friday, November 18).  Classes are welcome. Throughout the day, the Ambassador will meet with faculty and staff, international students and tour the MCC campuses. Thank you to Audra Dion (Counseling and Advising Center), Kristen Fragnoli (VaPA), Nayda Pares-Kane (Anthropology/History/Political Science/Sociology), Angelique Stevens (English/Philosophy) and Moka Lantum (President, CAGR) for their efforts in arranging this event.

Also visiting MCC on November 18 will be Dr. Barbara Hill, the Senior Associate with the American Council on Education’s (ACE) Center for Effective Leadership.  Dr. Hill is the College’s consultant for our partnership in the ACE Internationalization Laboratory and her visit will include meetings with the ACE Internationalization Task Force and with faculty and staff.
